Missing Whistler

It's that time of year again.

Whistler Blackcomb is open for another season. Every time I see the excitement and anticipation on the skiers/boarders faces when they camp out waiting to catch the first gondola up to the peak on opening day, I can't help but feel pangs of envy for them.

This video made me shed a tear.

Twelve months ago we were merely days out from going to Canada for a month long odyssey. This year, we have at least another twelve months to wait.

[ Fandom ] A passing thought

Last time I committed to a ski trip overseas with friends, they announced XF2. 

As we are getting ready to plan this years ski trip, I am holding my breath for an XF3 announcement. ; )

[ Invitation ] Skiing in August?

Craig just emailed me to say that we have been invited to go skiing in August. For those that know me, I would never turn down an opportunity to ski. (Unless injured).

One of Craig's work mates have invited us to go to Falls Creek. We haven't been there in awhile and would love to go back. I guess it depends on funds, and mother nature. Mother nature hasn't been the best to us when we go skiing down here in the Southern Hemisphere. We'll see what happens!
