Supanova Expo (Gold Coast) 2013

I was so lucky to attend the Supanova Expo on the Gold Coast over the weekend, and really try my hand at taking more photos. My report for Supanova will be available on the Moviehole website shortly (I'll link you guys when it is up!). Here are some of my favourite shots from the weekend.

This post is going out to the folks that run Supanova, Armageddon Expo and even OzComicCon.

The lady needs to come back to Australia. Gillian's fans (myself included) desperately want to see her. The Northern Hemisphere conventions have been lapping up all the appearances that are happening up there. How's about some Southern Hemisphere love?

Mother nature, we need to talk.

Saturday at Supanova I went along as Fight The Future Dana Scully. However, I spent most of the day like this. Drenched. Under an umbrella.

Walking through the rain and the mud and the rain.

That being said... Supanova is seriously one of the best conventions out there. Very professional. Run very well. All the stars that attend seem to have an amazing time. Lines for tokens, photos and autographs are well managed. You ask questions of the volunteers, and they answer with a smile on their face.... and if they don't know - they try to help as best they can.

The only gripe I had was that there wasn't a cloak room. And they didn't put the lights on in the main hall on the Sunday.... made shooting photos very difficult.

Cannot wait for next weekend. Some of the Aussie X-Files Fans @ Facebook are Brisbane bound for Supanova weekend. Hanging out at AXF HQ, playing the drinking game, and mingling with celebs.
